ProX Racing Parts and JE Pistons, both owned by Performance Motorsports Inc. (PMi) are proud to announce their partnership with Team CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit teams for the 2012 World Championship Motocross racing season.

ProX Racing parts and JE Pistons will be official technical sponsors for all teams that operate under the umbrella of Team CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit. For 2012 the team consists of French racers Christophe and Sebastien Pourcel in the MX1 class riding for Team CP377 and English rider Tommy Searle and Belgian Joel Roelants in the MX2 class riding for Team Floride. The riders are all considered to be favorites for world championship victories during the 2012 season. French racer Maxime Desprey will complete for the team in the EMX2 class riding for team NGS Junior.

Both ProX and JE Pistons brands offer high quality performance engine components. ProX is well known of their wide product program of technical replacement parts for Motocross, ATV and Personal Watercraft applications. JE Pistons is famous of their high performance forged racing pistons used in AMA Supercross, NASCAR, etc.

The long relation with Harry Nolte, technical manager of all the teams and PMI Europe B.V. has lead to the agreement with CLS. Harry has worked with our brands for many World champions in the past. The trust in the quality parts of ProX Racing Parts and JE Pistons has CLS Kawasaki’s team manager Jean-Jacques Luisetti made decided to choose for those PMI brands.

Marcel van Drunen vierde in EK Supermoto in Frankrijk 10/24/2011 10:00:58 AM
Marcel van Drunen uit het Yamaha MVD Goldspeed Team is tijdens de laatste wedstrijd om het Europees Kampioenschap Supermoto in het Franse Cahors op een vierde plaats geëindigd. In de eerste manche was zijn motor onstabiel bij het indraaien van de bochten waardoor hij niet voluit kon rijden. Toch wist hij er nog een vijfde plaats uit te slepen. In de tweede manche was het probleem aan de voorzijde verholpen en dit leverde hem een mooie vierde plaats op. In de laatste manche streed van Drunen voor de tweede plaats. Echter door een foutje in de slotfase werd hij wederom als vierde afgevlagd.

Op zaterdag had Marcel zijn draai al snel gevonden op het circuit. In de tijdtraining zette hij een aantal snelle ronden op de klokken en dit resulteerde in een vierde tijd. Marcel had last van onstabiliteit bij het insturen van de bochten en hoopte dat dit in de eerste manche op zondag beter zou gaan. Dit was helaas niet het geval waardoor van Drunen niet voluit kon rijden. Hierdoor moest hij genoegen nemen met een vijfde plaats. Voor de tweede manche had Marcel wat druk van zijn banden gehaald en dit pakte goed uit. Aan de voorzijde was het probleem verholpen en dit gaf hem een vertrouwd gevoel voor de tweede manche. Marcel werd in deze manche vierde en zat op de finish aan het achterwiel van de tweede en derde man. Tevens had hij de tweede snelste tijd gereden waarmee hij zag dat hij met de top drie mee kon.

In de derde manche kwam hij op een derde plaats uit de start. Gelijk ging hij in de aanval op zijn voorgangers maar in het offroad gedeelte koos hij in een bocht voor de binnenzijde in plaats van om door de kombocht te rijden. Helaas was deze bocht gesproeid waardoor zijn achterwiel begon te spinnen en hij de dubbelsprong niet kon springen. Dit kostte hem uiteindelijk een positie en op een vierde plaats kon hij zijn weg vervolgen. Vanaf dat moment ging het rijden iedere ronde beter en na een aantal ronden kwam hij aan op een derde plaats. Vervolgens begon Marcel druk uit te oefenen op de tweede man. Met nog twee ronden te gaan zette hij de aanval in op de plaats waar hij in de eerste ronde was weggegleden. Van Drunen was in de veronderstelling dat de natte plek nu wel opgedroogd zou zijn. Dit was echter niet het geval en dit had tot gevolg dat Marcel een pirouette maakte. Dit kostte hem een plaats en op een vierde plaats kon hij zijn weg vervolgen. Fanatiek zette hij de achtervolging in en kwam nog terug tot aan het achterwiel van de derde man. Helaas was de tijd tekort om hem nog te passeren waardoor hij op een vierde plaats werd afgevlagd. In de laatste manche was het zo close op de finish dat Marcel slechts 1.3 sec achter de kopman zat!
Henk Knuiman vijfde in Rallye Oilibya du Maroc 10/24/2011 8:55:13 AM
Henk Knuiman uit het HSF Logistics Henstek Rally Team is op een vijfde plaats geëindigd in de Rallye Oilibya du Maroc. Tijdens de laatste dag moesten er drie ronden worden afgelegd van 56 kilometer. De snelheid lag bijzonder hoog en regelmatig werd er een snelheid van 90 kilometer per uur of hoger bereikt.

De dag verliep goed voor Henk. Hij reed gecontroleerd en gelukkig had hij geen last van zijn hand die hij tijdens de vijfde dag heeft geblesseerd. De etappe was gevaarlijk en dit had tot gevolg dat er twee rijders hard gecrasht zijn. Hierdoor schoof Henk in het klassement weer een plaats op en sloot de rally af op een mooie vijfde plaats.

Henk heeft tijdens deze rally veel geleerd en enorm veel ritme opgedaan. Henk zal in de komende weken zijn voorbereidingen op de Dakar Rally verder zetten.
Team FMF Makita Suzuki’s Josh Strang Rallies After Crash At Powerline GNCC 10/12/2011 1:25:55 PM
ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OH (October 10, 2011) – FMF Makita Suzuki’s Josh Strang bounced back from a spectacular crash in the Powerline GNCC in St. Clairsville, OH, and rallied with a solid fifth-place finish. Strang put in a heroic ride on his FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 in the latest round of the Grand National Cross Country Series on Sunday, and remains in the runner-up position in the overall points chase.

The start of the race saw Strang get an impressive launch on his FMF Makita Suzuki, and he was in third place as the frontrunners entered the woods for the first time. Just a few miles into the three-hour event, however, the course cut through one of Powerline Park’s notorious mud holes and Strang chose a line that unfortunately directed him into a tree and off a frighteningly steep ledge.

“I got a good start on the FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 and was up there with the leaders,” said Strang. “But when we came to the mud hole, there were two different lines and I took one and just clipped a tree and went off line and ended up going off a five-foot embankment.”

Strang lost valuable time getting back into the race, but he managed to settle into a pace that eventually carried him up into a three-way battle for third. Unfortunately, another mud hole took its toll and Strang wound up in fifth at the race’s end.

“It was just a disappointing day,” admitted Strang. “But these things happen in racing. At this point, I just want to have a clean race and get a win on the FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 – I just want to get back down to business and start winning again.”

With three races remaining on the schedule, defending series champion Strang still has a legitimate shot at the title. Thirty points are up for grabs at the next race, and Strang is determined that those points will be his.

“The Ironman is a good race,” said Strang about the next event. “I like that track and it suits the FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450, so I usually do well there. I’m looking forward to it and hopefully getting the win.”

The 2011 FMF Makita Suzuki team’s next event is Sunday, October 23rd, in Crawfordsville, IN, for the Ironman GNCC.

Nancy van de Ven uit Vlissingen is zaterdag in Well Nederlands Kampioenschap 85cc kleine wielen geworden. Na een sterk gereden wedstrijd won ze de eerste manche waarmee ze zich verzekerde van de titel. Omdat de titel binnen was ging het rijden in de tweede manche niet lekker meer. De druk was van de ketel en ze maakte teveel fouten waardoor ze genoegen moest nemen met een tweede plaats. Met een eerste en een tweede plaats manches wist ze toch nog het dagklassement te winnen in Well.

De temperaturen stegen op zaterdag boven de 30 graden. Rinus gaf Nancy de boodschap mee om het in de training rustig aan te doen omdat er nog twee zware manches te wachten stonden. Nancy moest 60 punten voorsprong hebben op de tweede man om zich te verzekeren van de titel.

In de eerste manche kwam ze in de middenmoot uit de start maar in de eerste bocht wist ze gelijk al door te stoten naar een derde plaats. Het duurde niet lang voordat ze de twee leiders wist te passeren en de koppositie in handen nam. Ze wist de koppositie een aantal ronden in handen te houden maar werd toen gepasseerd en viel terug naar een tweede plaats. Nancy bleef echter knokken voor alles wat ze waard was en wist in het midden van de wedstrijd de koppositie terug in handen te nemen. In het tweede deel van de wedstrijd hield ze het tempo hoog en slaagde erin om een gat te slaan. Deze gaf ze niet meer uit handen en sloot de eerste manche winnend af. Op de finish werd ze opgewacht door een grote groep fans die met champagne en een spandoek op de jonge dame uit Vlissingen stonden te wachten.

Na de eerste manche was duidelijk te merken dat de druk eraf was bij Nancy. Toen het starthek in de tweede manche naar beneden klapte, zat ze er wederom niet goed bij. Echter in de eerste bocht had ze de juiste lijn en vloog naar de koppositie. Gedurende de manche maakte ze een aantal foutjes en dit kostte haar de eerste plaats. Daarna ging het rijden niet lekker meer en ze kon daarom ook niet meer terug vechten om de koppositie terug in handen te nemen. Moe maar voldaan kwam ze op een tweede plaats over de finish en verzekerde zich hiermee van de dagzege in Well.

Volgend jaar zal Nancy de overstap maken naar de 85cc grote wielen.
Nicholls frustrated in pursuit of world championship positions 9/5/2011 4:05:59 PM
Jake Nicholls was denied the chance to move up to eleventh in the FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 standings despite missing the first four rounds of the fourteen held so far this season when he was forced to pull out of the second race at a difficult Gaildorf circuit (Germany) for the Grand Prix of Europe. The penultimate meeting of the series was run in muggy conditions and in front of a 22,000 crowd at the venue that has a long motocross history and last entertained a GP in 2005.

The HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK representative recovered from a bad start to gun the potent 250SX-F to a solid ninth position in thefirst moto across the compact layout and rutty and hard-pack terrain that was tricky for overtaking. It was an impressive performance and pushed the 21 year old up past Christophe Charlier in the points table. Sadly the promotion would be short-lived after an accident when Nicholls’ left elbow was struck by the flipping rear wheel of another rider would give the Englishman a dead arm and cause his retirement (only the second from twenty motos) during the early phases of the second race.

Nicholls would end the Grand Prix with fourteenth position overall and now stares at a seven point gap again to Charlier; a realistic target with the final round of the calendar occurring in Italy next week. Team-mate Jordan Booker had a tough time handling the Gaildorf mud and missed the points in both motos; taking 23rd and 22nd.

In only his fourth Grand Prix appearance for the team and on the 350SX-F Tom Church grabbed a point with twentieth place in the first MX1 moto. It was the least the veteran could expect after recovering from a poor start and winning nine positions in a moto-long trek. Church was set for his best finish of the season with 15th in the second race until a freak occurrence with his fuel cap becoming dislodged covered the rider in fuel and affected his motorcycle, causing him to lose places in the final two laps.

HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK will head down the eastern coast of Italy in the coming days and arrive at the hilltop venue of Fermo for the fifteenth and final round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The Grand Prix of Italy will bring the series to a close for the second year in a row.

Jake Nicholls:

“The weekend started off fairly average but I slowly built up confidence with the bike and the track throughout Saturday. The qualification heat was ruined by a collision on the first jump after the start but I picked myself up and charged through to 15th even though the bike was pretty out of shape. In the first race I had a perfect jump off the start but just got out-powered down the straight. From mid-pack I worked my way to ninth. For the second race, I had another dodgy start and then on the second lap a rider crashed next to me and his bike flipped upside down and his back wheel hit my elbow. I’ve got metal work in the joint and straight away I lost feeling in my hand; I was scared from this point because I hadn't hurt my elbow like this since I broke it, but thankfully it was only the nerves that had gone into shock. Now I just have some bruisingaround the elbow. I’m very disappointed with the weekend. I feel that I could have achieved a lot more at this track.”

Marcel van Drunen uit het Yamaha MVD Goldspeed Team is tijdens de negende wedstrijd om het Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Supermotard in Joure op het podium geëindigd. In de eerste manche maakte Marcel in de beginfase een aantal bijna fatale highsiders en kwam tot twee keer toe ten val in het offroad gedeelte. Hierdoor zat er niet meer in dan een vijfde plaats. In de tweede manche knokte de rijder uit Eindhoven in de beginfase voor de overwinning maar toen hij een keer buiten de baan belandde en bijna ten val kwam, werd hij te voorzichtig waardoor hij genoegen moest nemen met een tweede plaats.

Op zaterdag stond in Joure al de tijdtraining op het programma. Marcel zette verschillende keren aan om een snelle tijd op de klokken te zetten maar kon zijn draai niet echt vinden op het circuit. Dit resulteerde uiteindelijk in een vierde tijd.

In de eerste manche op zondag verliep de beginfase niet naar wens. In de eerste vier ronden maakte hij bijna vier fatale highsiders. Marcel zelf dacht dat zijn band niet goed op druk stond. Dit bleek achteraf niet het geval te zijn maar hierdoor verloor Marcel wel het vertrouwen. Tot overmaat van ramp kwam hij nog twee keer ten val in het offroad gedeelte waarbij veel tijd en plaatsen verloren gingen. Ondanks dit herstelde Marcel zich goed en knokte zich nog terug naar een vijfde plaats.

In de tweede manche ging het rijden een stuk beter met van Drunen. In de beginfase streed hij voor de eerste plaats. Echter op een moment dat hij buiten de baan belandde en bijna ten val kwam, verloor hij het vertrouwen en besloot om de wedstrijd zonder risico’s te nemen uit te rijden. Dit pakte goed uit want Marcel kwam als tweede over de finish en verzekerde zich hiermee van de derde plaats in het dagklassement.

In de tussenstand om het Open Nederlands Kampioenschap blijft Marcel op een derde plaats staan. Volgend weekend staat de tiende wedstrijd om het Open Nederlands Kampioenschap op het programma in de Wijk/Rogat.
Team FMF Makita Suzuki's Josh Strang picks up another podium finish & extends championship points lead at Millfield GNCC 8/21/2011 1:01:01 AM
MILLFIELD, OH (July 11, 2011) – FMF Makita Suzuki’s Josh Strang captured his sixth podium finish of the season – out of a possible seven -- at the 2011 Grand National Cross Country Series at the John Penton GNCC in Millfield, OH, on Sunday. With this third-place finish, Strang is now 14 points ahead of second place in the title chase of the XC1 bike class.

In Sunday’s race, Strang got off to a promising start on his FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450, but suffered a get-off in the second turn of the event. As a result, Strang had to pick off the competition on his way back to the front of the pack.

“I got a good start on the FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450,” said Strang. “So my run of good starts is still intact. But I got run wide in the first turn and then, in the second turn, someone ran into a few of us and took us out.”

Undaunted, the FMF Makita Suzuki rider put his head down and worked his way back into the top five by the halfway point of the race. When the checkers flew, Strang had moved into the third podium spot.

“The first lap was decent, I think I was close to the front,” said Strang. “On the second lap, I lost a little ground in a really tight section, but after that, I started picking guys off, and on the last lap I caught Cory Buttrick and passed him for third… The FMF Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 was perfect and pulled really strong on these tough hills.”

Strang and his FMF Makita Suzuki crew are looking at a few months of downtime as the series goes on hiatus for the remainder of the summer. Although he extended his lead over second place in the overall championship points standings this weekend, Strang isn’t resting on his laurels until September.

“We’ve got two months off,” said Australian Strang. “I’ll spend a bit of time with my parents, who are coming in from Australia. But then, we’ll get back down to work and get ready for Unadilla.”

HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK felt reasonably chipper leaving the busy and bustling circuit of Talkessel in Teutschenthal and the Grand Prix of Germany for the ninth round of fifteen in the FIM Motocross World Championship. 40,000 spectators for the biggest and best attended race of the series so far this season saw Jake Nicholls haunt the realms of the mid-top ten before finishing seventh overall for his highest classification in 2011 to-date and Jordan Booker finally snared a GP point in his maiden term.

Hot sunshine helped dry a soft German course and the long and deep ruts helped slow the fast hard-pack layout, even if the new modifications to the rippling and shallow slopes did not assist in creating many more overtaking opportunities. Talkessel has seen Grand Prix action since the 1970s and an announcement that the venue will host the 2013 Motocross of Nations was timely considering the huge audience that poured through the gates.

Nicholls made two positive starts in the 35 minute and 2 lap motos and this was half the battle. At one stage (the opening phases of the second race) the Briton was vying for space in the top five and although he was forced to surrender seventh to Nico Aubin after holding the slot for almost all of Moto1 was able to gather more confidence and edge to his race fitness after missing the first quarter of the season due to injury.

Jordan Booker had recovered from the hand injury that forced his withdrawal in Sweden last week. The youngster was again on the fringes of the top twenty and the point-scoring zone in the first moto but actually made the breakthrough and secured his first digit in the second race with twentieth position.

Nicholls has moved up from sixteenth to fourteenth in the MX2 standings with the tenth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship taking place next weekend at the Kegums circuit for the Grand Prix of Latvia.

Jake Nicholls:

“It went well and I’d been up there pretty much all weekend. I was eighth in free practice and twelfth in pre-qualifying and I was really happy as those sessions are never usually my strong point. In the qualification heat I rode well and took ninth which was pretty important for a track like this where the start can mean so much. Today the first race start was pretty good and I rode a smart first lap. I was on my own in seventh for quite a while and riding alone has been one of my weak points so I was pleased with how I dealt with that. Aubin got me at the end but he was going like a train. In the second one I made a safe first turn and then rode like a lunatic on the first lap to reach fourth or fifth. I went as hard as possible and pushed all the way. I gave it everything. I had pressure all race and didn’t look back too much. This is a good step in the right direction and hopefully we can carry it on in Latvia in the sand.”

De Japanse drijfstang is geproduceerd op moderne CNC-apparatuur en door middel van een speciale nabehandeling nog sterker gemaakt.

De drijfstangsets van ProX Racing Parts worden compleet geleverd met zuigerpenlager (voor de 2-takt modellen), big-end lager, big-end pen en loopringen.
